Our commercial cookery students were invited to support Chef Mark Normoyle and his team of chefs in preparing menus for two high profile events held at the Melbourne Showgrounds – the Winning Tastes Pavilion at the Royal Melbourne Show, and the North Melbourne Syd Barker Club Champion Dinner for 700 people earlier this month.
Students were involved in various aspects of food preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes. This was a great opportunity for the students to expand on their culinary skills and network with other chefs from industry.
Chef Mark was so impressed with one of our students, Choney Meemusor (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery) that he offered her a role as a casual cook.
