Werribee Centrals football and netball player Julia Nash recently completed work-integrated learning with the Western Bulldogs’ event team while studying a Bachelor of Sport Management/Bachelor of Business (Event Management) at Victoria University (VU).
“This experience was pivotal in cementing my passion for the sporting events industry. It taught me more than any unit could teach me through theory and I came out of it feeling more confident in my own ability with organising and delivering events.
"The best thing about my higher education course is the work placement opportunities that VU offer. The two placements I undertook were a highlight of my time at VU.”
Start small; dream big
VU understands that not everyone is ready to launch straight into a degree program, the way Julia did. We want you to be able to achieve your study goals in a way that suits you. So we offer other ways to start your education journey.
Our 'pathway' system lets you build up to a higher degree via shorter courses such as certificates and diplomas. Pathways are designed to suit all types of students – whether you have just finished secondary school, are looking for career advancement, or want to develop new skills or change your career direction.
Build your degree in any discipline
VU Polytechnic, VU’s TAFE provider, offers a range of pathways, including in:
We offer an easy transition between courses at different levels, so that you can start with a certificate and progress right through to postgraduate study.
You can also have your learning, experience and qualifications obtained to date recognised. By applying for credit for your skills and past study, you can get your desired qualification as soon as possible.
