2021 Victorian Training Awards announces VU Polytechnic as finalists in two categories

VU Polytechnic have been recognised and honoured for outstanding achievements at the 2021 Victorian Training Awards.

On 17 August 2021, the Minister for Training and Skills and Higher Education, Gayle Tierney announced VU Polytechnic as finalists for this year’s Victorian Training Awards in two categories. The Victorian Training Awards recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations in the Victorian TAFE and training sector.

This year, VU Polytechnic have been nominated as the finalist for Industry Collaboration Award, for the Victoria Police Diversity Recruitment Program, and Inclusive Training Provider of the Year Award.

The Industry Collaboration Award recognises VET education providers that demonstrate exemplary skills development collaboration between at least one employer/industry body and at least one organisation delivering nationally recognised training, while the Inclusive Training Provider of the Year Award recognises exceptional VET training providers that have demonstrated excellence in implementing innovation and change for students with disability or additional needs; created an impact throughout their organisation, system and community; and increased employment for people with disability in their community, as well as in their organisation.

A huge congratulations to all the efforts of VU staff on this achievement. Winners will be announced at the Award Ceremony on 16 October 2021.
