The Western Melbourne English Program (WMEP) offers foundation courses for students from non-English speaking and English speaking backgrounds. Our English language and general education certificates are designed to improve your skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening and numeracy. Skill development in each program also covers digital literacy.
Support services
Students in the WMEP have access to a range of support services.
Counselling
We have professional counselling services and resources available to support personal, psychological, academic, and social development. You can also access free, individualised counselling sessions on campus, facilitated by professionally trained counsellors.
Housing assistance
Our Student Housing Service provides you with:
- free advice and assistance when looking for housing options
- access to the student housing database
- links to resources that can help get you into the right accommodation
- a student housing guide with tips and checklists
- advice on tenancy issues
- helpful information about your rental rights and responsibilities.
Financial advice
Our professional staff provide financial advice and assistance with study and living costs. You can access services including general budget help, loans and scholarships information, and tax return advice.
