Transition education

Do you need to improve your English skills or literacy to gain access to study and work opportunities? We offer tailored programs for young people, mature-age students, Indigenous Australians, migrants, refugees and students with special needs. Study in transition education can lead directly into employment or further study, from trade-based certificates through to higher education degrees.

We are one of the largest providers of English as an Additional Language (EAL) education in Victoria and have a proud history of helping international students, migrants and refugees achieve success in study, work and community integration.

Innocent Karabagega's success story

Refugee, Innocent Karabagega, has followed a pathway from transition education to Bachelor of Laws.

“All of my achievements are because of the support I received during my study – the teachers listened to me and transformed me into a better person who can serve other people, especially those who seek refuge in other countries.”

Western Melbourne English Program
