Sport & wellbeing

To keep the VU Polytechnic community safe, and to play our part in containing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made changes to how we deliver our courses. Most VU Polytechnic students will have access to supported remote learning from April, meaning you can continue to study the same high-quality program from home.

If a career in the sport, fitness and massage industry is your end goal then Victoria University Polytechnic is the place to be.

You will learn from industry-recognised teachers and gain real-world experience through work placements with sporting organisations like the Western Bulldogs Football Club. Our sport development students have access to Footscray Park campus’ world-class Aquatic and Fitness Centre which features indoor sports courts, fully equipped gyms, an athletics track and indoor pool.

Massage students learn at our multi-million dollar Sport and Recreation Learning Centre at Victoria University Whitten Oval Stadium (home of the Western Bulldogs), where they work with the players and manage the massage clinic.

Bianca & Rosemarie Michetti's success story

Sisters Bianca and Rosemarie Michetti followed pathways from TAFE to postgraduate study in exercise science and osteopathy. Now they plan to bring affordable healthcare to the west.

“We found the campuses conveniently located and the perfect place to begin establishing professional networks. We were able to transition from TAFE to where we are now, working as an osteopath and an exercise physiologist. The teachers made sure we had the tools needed to reach for our goals no matter what.”
