Joe, grew up in Aleppo, Syria and first learnt about hairdressing from his mother, who taught Joe skills he could take anywhere in the world. After a terrible tragedy, Joe lost his mother in the war and fled to Lebanon where he worked as a hairdresser and applied for a visa to Australia.
