In the current world of sport science and sport business, the correct management of data originating from different sources can allow organisations to make better decisions. In this unit you will gain an understanding of the key factors underpinning successful data management platforms. You will gain practical skills revolving around conceptualising and building systems to handle data collection, integration and visualisation within cloud and app-based platforms.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

  1. Conceptually map and contextualise the factors underpinning successful data management programs;
  2. Devise data management tools to support decision making; and,
  3. Formulate decisions based on data evidence and communicate them accordingly.
